Robert Drake joined Sullivan Wickley in 2023 as Vice President of Acquisitions where he leads the company’s efforts in acquiring retail shopping centers throughout the Southeastern US.
Prior to joining the company, Mr. Drake worked for Garner Group where he was responsible for its acquisition and disposition efforts for two real estate investment funds. His time working at this startup real estate company enabled him to be directly involved in all facets of owning, operating and managing shopping centers which created a passion for the development and execution of real estate strategies that drive investment value.
Mr. Drake began his real estate career in 2013 as the Senior Financial Analyst for SRS Real Estate Partners’ Investment Properties Group, responsible for underwriting retail properties and business development across the Southeast US. He also served as an investment sales broker co-leading the portion of the Investment Properties Group focused on the sale of unanchored retail assets. Since 2013, Mr. Drake has underwritten over $2 billion in retail and has been involved in over $1 billion of real estate transactions.
Mr. Drake has a Bachelor of Science Degree in Real Estate Finance from Clemson University and holds a Georgia Broker’s License.
